Money Night Football Theme, Instrumental sound bite
That intro music IS football to me! And let me tell you I am ready! We’re a couple days away from the start of training camp. I will be attending on the 4th, so I’ve actually got a couple more days. But who’s counting?  Also looking forward to the Family Day Scrimmage on the 7th.
We’re still waiting  on word from Joe Haden, which I hope he took notes on what a holdout did for Brady Quinn’s career. All in all I am very excited, and very much ready for some football!
GO BROWNS!!!

LeModell Junior

Well as we all know, NE Ohio’s self-proclaimed King (from here on out who will be referred to by me as LeModell Junior), did the unthinkable. He single-handedly ripped out the hearts of an entire city/state/region. As if this area needed another slap to the collective face, but we got it…and on World-wide TV!

I have never claimed to be anything when it comes to basketball.  In fact, I have on many occasions expressed that I do not like basketball.  But over the last 7 years I have watched the Cavs. Why? Because one of our own was on the team and making them great.  And I was set to all but return to my pre-LeModell status of no-basketball, and then I saw the link to the letter from Dan Gilbert.  And it was solidified. I will be a Cavs fan as long as Dan Gilbert is their owner! I seriously want to start a petition to get him as the majority owner of all of our Cleveland teams! He’s driven to do whatever it takes to get Cleveland a championship before Miami.  Kudos, Mr. Gilbert! I appreciate his fire and I think he really understands how the fans feel. It’s not hard to understand why, I mean he found out the same way the rest of us did.

So what’s the bottom line?  F-LeModell. GO CAVS! GO GILBERT! And most importantly, GO BROWNS!!!!!

The Curse Continues for Cleveland.

So the Cavs blew it tonight.  What is going to happen?  Is Lebron going to stay or go?  Know what I say is going to happen?  Time will pass, and regardless of James’ decision, it will continue to pass.  I’ve never been a basketball fan, but always have been a fan of all things Cleveland.  You’ll see that none of my posts have been about the Cavs.  In fact, I asked Jay to come on board to make up for my lack of hoops knowledge (not that I know anything about anything!). My first sports love is football, and I make no bones about it. The day after the Browns’ last game of the season, I count the days to the draft.  After the draft, I count the days to Training Camp (countdown on the site coming as soon as the dates are released).  And then preseason, and the season itself.  So to be honest, I won’t lose sleep waiting for Lebron’s decision.  I don’t care enough about basketball to do that.  But I DO care about the city of Cleveland and how it may suffer at his hands.  I want to see Cleveland return to its glory days of championships, and add basketball to that list. It almost seems crazy, but the Browns are our best hope right now of winning a championship!  And with that said, GO BROWNS!!!

Draft Day Is Upon Us!

 By Chuck

18 hours until the 2010 NFL Draft, and I can’t wait! I find that the number of rumors that have been thrown out there since my last post has been staggering.  With the most mind-boggling being the recent revelation that the Steelers are shopping Big Douche Worthlessraper for a top 10 pick.  I have to say that I think I would lose all respect for Holmgren and Co. if they were to take that offer.  I mean think about it, you just signed Jake Delhomme for $7M/yr, and even if you could dump him somewhere, you can’t play Rapistberger until week 7.  AND Pittspuke would have our pick at #7!

I can only say one thing. NO! NON! ¡NO! NEIN! NR! NÃO! ΑΡΙΘ.! いいえ! 否! 아니다!

Please, Messrs. Holmgren, Heckert & Mangini DO NOT DO ANYTHING STUPID WITH YOUR PICKS!!!!

22 days and counting…

22 days till the draft, and we are tied with the Patriots (who got 4 compensatory picks) for the most picks on draft day with 12.  There are so many options for Holmgren and company that speculation is all over the place.  Some have them packaging picks to move up and get Bradford or Clausen, while others have them filling all their needs with all 12 picks.  Me? I just want them to take advantage of the amount of picks and amount of depth in this draft class to make our team better!

Jake Delhomme?!?! REALLY?!?!

 By Chuck

I got the news on my phone in the form of an email. I’m not sure what to think. My gut tells me that this is a bad move all the way around. It says this needs to be Brady Quinn’s year to show what he can do.
But my head says that The team of Holmgren and Heckert know more about football and apparently Delhomme fits their plans for this team better than Quinn.
So I guess the time for sentimental attachment to players has come to pass and now I have to focus on the team and do like Jay does and support this TEAM, regardless of my opinion of their moves.
So with that, I say, “GO BROWNS!!”

Our server got hacked by some Turkish douchebags.  They are too cool.  Taking down all of my sites. Putting up their shit.  Just too cool for me.  Here’s a call to any American hackers out there.  Hack the shit out of every server in Turkey!  Thank you, and now back to your regularly scheduled silence.

I know it’s not the Browns, but I do feel that the Saints winning the Super Bowl is a good thing for the Browns.  In fact I would go so far as to say it’s good (for lack of a better term) “karma” for the Browns.  I think that it proves that with right management, coaching and talent, our Browns can make it there and win, even if they are the underdogs!  So now it’s officially time to turn our thoughts to the Draft, which according to our counter is 72 days away. Now if you’re Mike Holmgren with all of those 11 picks, what would you do?

Wide receiver

 By Jay

Ok I have been thinking about wide receiver for the browns. I genuinely like the guys we have but still expect them to add at least one more player to the bunch. And I have a thought for about who to add. Terrell Owens. Now before you call me crazy let me explain. The guy still has talent. Showed he can play in a cold weather city. Knows he will only get a one year contract. You didn’t hear a peep out of him this year about throwing him the ball more. And he will definitely bring more media attention to the browns. Which CAN be a good thing as long as it does not become a circus. In summary I think the benefits outweigh the negatives.
